95% of high schoolers using marijuana? I have a hard time believing that.

Particularly since it was legalized for recreational use. Interestingly the students freely admitted using pot after legalization. It was part of their social order in peer groups. Our school was 85% hispanic and 12% white.

Someone always had some on them. You could see the circles forming around them in the common areas as they passed it around.

The clue was a sudden decline in interest and achievement. That was measurable by grades. It usually started right after the first nine week report cards.

Still hard for me to believe that number but I can certainly see any degree of general acceptance and use having bad effects on achievement. They weren’t allowed to use it out in the open during school hours were they?
