Sorry I see you have mentioned Hell. Is it a place like heaven is a place or is the language we use strictly metaphorical? When people are holding on to their sin are they, as spirits, doing it in a place of sorts? Like you say bardo is a place of darkness. There have been quite elaborate depictions of Hell — e.g., the Divine Comedy & Paradise Lost. I wonder if any of that conform to your notion? And while I’m on the subject, does Heaven also conform to your notions, e.g., many rooms in Heaven, etc., or is that strictly metaphor?
