Actually, tetanus is one of the few I’d have no problem getting in the event of something like a deep flesh wound.
I also had both pneumonia vaccines as with my allergies, I figured the risk from the vaccines would be less than that of a reaction to the antibiotics should I get pneumonia.
Not doing the shingles shot, though. I have heard too many bad things about it including the number of people who claim it triggered an attack of shingles instead of preventing it.
If I develop symptoms that appear to be shingles, I will get myself medical care post haste and get the anti-viral that lessens the severity of it if taken within the first 48 hours.
It’s a risk assessment decision.
Tetanus was the only shot I gave one of my kids. That was back when you could get ONLY the tetaus shot. Now they’re grouped, so you don’t have that choice. The reason I decided tetanus was fine, is that the tetanus shot entered the body the same way as something that caused it might.
I gave my kids no other vaccinations, and to this day don’t regret it. They are specimens of good health, but mostly because they are good eaters and keep fit. Unlike their mother lol ;).

That’s exactly what I did.
I didn’t know about that treatment until I got to the doctor.
I said look at this, I think I have shingles.
It was the left side of my scalp.
He said yes and told me it’s good it just started, we can stop it.
Within minutes I started the meds. (Pharmacy on site)
Lasted a couple of weeks, very mild case.
Very strange, it only attacks one side of the body.
