Putin will accomplish nothing constructive with this illegitimate seizure of Ukrainian territory and citizens. The sanctions will get worse, no one will stop sending arms to Ukraine, and the NATO nuclear forces will be deployed closer to Russia than they were before.

Today, in the center of Kramatorsk, on the territory of the DPR controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a rocket fell, on the remains of which attentive local residents noticed foreign markings.
Judging by the picture, an AGM-88 HARM missile delivered from the United States, designed to destroy radar and air defense systems, again fell on the heads of the townspeople. A week ago, the same ammunition was found in the center of nearby Konstantinovka.

So, in order .. answering such questions is quite difficult, since there is no full description of the situation .. But let’s still try to answer, let’s see - HARM is capable of being aimed at high-frequency radio-emitting devices ( from 0.7 to about 40 GHz in the latest modifications ). The missile is less vulnerable to well-established countermeasures, such as turning off the radiation source when a missile launch is detected (as was done against the Shrikes), HARM calculates the location of the target and is able to hit it even if the radiation is gone, and the latest modifications are designed to destroy radio-emitting means with a change in working frequencies. So after turning off, the crew needs to urgently get out of position .. this, of course, is not always possible ..

HARM frequency bar has dropped to 80 MHz, there are confirmations from reliable sources .. and although the accuracy of hitting at such a frequency drops (the higher the frequency of the source radiation, the higher the accuracy), but The RMS becomes indecent for the ammunition, which is called high-precision, the presence of “inertia” leaves a chance of hitting the target. Funny you should ask that question... In fact Vladimir Vladimirovich and I were talking on the phone last night and I asked him the same question. His answer surprised me. He said he'd been reading about the king of Assyria (Russian Bible, Book of Isaiah) and had come up with this:

Pooty was waving it before the 2022 invasion even started. One of our Pro-Pooty posters posted a link to a vid of Putin discussing possible Russian use of nukes, and proclaimed Putin meant business.
Specifically, Putin said Russia could not win a large scale conventional war with NATO, and then implied that if losing, Russia would turn to it’s largest in the world nuclear arsenal. The definition of “losing” was left unspoken. But so was any mention of armistice and negotiation.
