I would be careful praising the Ruble. The Russian economy is operating in a vacuum right now. Once they open their stock market to foreign trading again, the Ruble will fall out of bed like a drunk Russian bear in a Siberian carnival.

Yes, I know they are doing business with India and China. But how many Russian Oligarchs have been moving to their dachas in Russia and India. That is not where Russian money wants to go. Euro investments is what Russia needs...and they cannot get them.

In a vacuum?

Is the US imploding economy operating in a vacuum?
Is the imploding UK economy operating in a vacuum?
Is the imploding Germany economy operating in a vacuum?
Is the imploding EU economy’s operating in a vacuum?

You know what is in common with all of them?
Their economy’s are the epitome of self-inflicted economic implosion because all of them placed sanctions on the Russians, which utterly failed and backfired.

Please, ‘operating in a vacuum’ my arse.
Russian economy moving right line just fine.

India just cut off their import of Russia oil - non-competitive when the cost of transportation is added in.

It's the top performing currency of the year.

I don't see a reason for it not to remain strong given that more and more oil and commodity transactions are being made in rubles.

I'm not at all happy the dollar is losing its place as the world's reserve currency. It's completely the fault of the Biden regime and its desire get into a proxy and sanction war with Russia, which has been a total failure. That being said, Republicans don't need to share the blame by continuing to support the failed policies.
