That is a true statement, based on the experience of running his business. He has had issues recruiting people. It’s an inconvenient truth for Lightfoot, but it’s still the truth.
How can she object to his own business experience?
It’s not just Chicago. I’ve heard for years, that companies have trouble getting people to relocate to California because of housing costs and traffic, for example.
If anyone said that out loud, would Gavin Newsom really say, no, California is NOT more expensive than other places, that traffic IS NOT worse?

McDonald’s have only themselves to blame. Until 2018, their corporate headquarters had been located for over 30 years in a beautiful suburban location in Oak Brook, IL about 20 miles west of downtown Chicago. Then some C-level idiots decided they needed to attract a younger, hipper workforce and the only way to do that was move the HQ to downtown Chicago. They timed the move perfectly to coincide with the explosion of murders (from an already high rate) in Chicago along with the Fentanyl Floyd riots and the other unnatural disasters of the Lori Lightfoot reign.
Her response is telling. It shows that to her and her ilk, education means group think indoctrination, not becoming informed as to the facts to make a sane business decision.
