Yeah....like most new tech these days I’ll wait about 10 years until all the kinks get worked out. I’ve learned that it usually doesn’t pay to become an early adopter of bleeding edge tech.

I got to experience ELO’s Time concert in the early eighties. Amazing concert.

I saw ELO’s Time concert in Baton Rouge early 80’s.

It was an awesome concert. Best concert I’ve ever seen

They opened with this robot coming onto stage and saying the opening lines.

Each band member was up on these pillars. And the light show was just incredible.

4. A robot may not suggest Adam Sandler movie plots.

So in 50 years time, will ghettopotami who get into fights in McDonalds over cold french-fries have their robots kick, scratch and pull hair-weaves, instead of doing it themselves?

“Ex Machina. GREAT movie, and I don’t even LIKE movies.”

I always passed it by thinking it would be bad. I’ll give it a try.

I’d rather have a robot take care of me in my dotage than some graduate of a math & science academy in a strip mall.

Better than Life Alert, and it has legs! And other stuff, depending on the "options" you choose.

With a mass-produced consumer robot there will be the same phenomena as there is with mass-produced consumer automobiles - customization/hot-rodding. People will modify the machine mechanically and they will modify the software. People will strip the electronics and sensors out of the production model and adapt them to custom-made machines with wild capabilities.

The fun hasn't even started yet.
