As a young child I recall going with my parents to an Amway sales pitch. It sounded impressive but my parents didn’t buy it. My father had a math degree.
I have never been to one of these, what do they say when you ask:
“If this is such a great deal, why are you telling me? Why don’t you buy up all these timeshares and make a mint?”

My wife has gone to Pampered Chef “parties” a few times, and even bought a few gadgets. She has more sense than to join up, though. I think the PC stuff is mostly worthless, especially a kitchen knife that I threw away because it wouldn’t hold an edge at all. Worst knife ever.
