I haven’t figured that one out either.
The Brits have a system with the Monarchy and parliament. Parliament does the heavy lifting and the Monarchy is the window dressing. It works for the UK. Let it be.
Same. I’m a SAR member and think it’s fine for them to have both. We separated and moved on. The regent is the dignified and parliament is the efficient, as the Crown put it. Works for them and their citizens/subjects want it, so let it be.
