WHAT I BELIEVE IS REALLY HAPPENING....if little Joey says he is attracted to boys the reaction is now “oh, you must be TRANS, you’re ‘really’ a girl”....and the money train begins - which it doesn’t if you just decide he may be gay.
So gay men will see a reduction in the partner pool. Gay men have been called ‘bigots’ if they don’t want to date a ‘trans-male’ as ‘they like dick’. Same for the lesbians, they don’t want a trans-female.
