YES! “and to the Republic for which it stands!” Do they even have school kids say that anymore? I doubt it. I went to school in the 1960s to the 1970s, every morning without fail in homeroom class we said it. I had a lot of teachers who served in WW2 and the Korean war and they made damn sure that pledge was said.

I’m pleased that they say it every morning at the charter school my 1st-grade granddaughter attends.
