The feds and the EPA have done a lot to kill off the smaller local generating plant also. But political cronyism has taken its share - Cleveland Municipal Light & Power had a small power plant years ago, but mismanagement by the city’s nepotism-rich power entity has long put them in a position of buying from others only.
