Nope. I side with the people who don’t want them planted.
You only watched 5 minutes so you missed the palm tree Parks guy who makes great arguments against mangroves.

I’m good with that!

The problem we all face in this information age is that we are presented each day with a firehose of information being sprayed nearly unmanagably at high pressure into our face, our eyes, into our nostrils, and there are a variety of ways we can deal with it:

1.) We can simply swallow everything that comes in that we believe in. (This is the Leftist way of handling information, though some on our side do that, and each of us does it to some small degree even if we don’t think we do)

2.) We can leverage our library of information we have acquired over the years of our lives, who is trustworthy, who is not, what is logical, what is not, etc. In this we knock out a good percentage. We also discard outright many piecies of information that aren’t important. Many of us have done this with entertainment, sports, etc. We winnow out what isn’t really worth it, prioritize the rest, and drill down on what we think is most important to the best of our ability. The upside of this is that we free up brain-cycles. The downside is...we may not know who Kim Kardashian is or what she looks like. My wife rolled her eyes at me once when I passed a television she was watching, and asked who the woman was that everyone seemed to be deferring to...:)

3.) We can investigate everything exhaustively.

Obviously, Option 1 is unsatisfactory for any thinking person, and Option 3 is impossible to any degree. I have settled into Option 2, and it has served me well.

One of my favorite observations regarding the Left is that after decades of reading and evaluating their thoughts and opinions, I can sniff out Leftism, often within the first sentence of anything, if not the first few words. All you have to do is watch and listen to them and keep your eyes and ears open. They can’t help themselves.

For example, if you read an article that starts with “Election deniers on the right...”, you don’t have to read any further. You know exactly what they are going to say in context. Obviously, there is some value in reading it if you wish to determine what they plan to do about it, but even that becomes superfluous. You already KNOW what they plan to do about it, and you KNOW you are in their way.

So, I applaud Leftists for getting right to the point in signalling their beliefs and intentions to me as a conservative. I have saved probably hundreds, if not thousands of hours because instead of reading an entire article, I can discern immediately what their given stance is and predict accurately what they are going to say. This has added much valuable and usable time to my life...:)

Is it 100% accurate for me? Absolutely not. I get bitten by it occasionally. But I am willing to accept that in exchange for a degree of human functionality I would have to surrender by taking the time to read all of their pap in its entirety!
