The treaty ending the war, Britain took over the island, and ordered all the people living there (French citizens and some Indians)— to clear out of their homes and land, and forfeit their titles (as it is in warfare this happens). This happened fully after 1763 and the Treaty of Paris ceding Acadia to Great Britain. They cleared out all the Acadians most going to Louisiana where their descendants are known as Cajuns.... Acadienne.
They never got their land back, even though some were allowed to come back years later. Reparations have only now been proposed, wrongly— against Great Britain. See how this goes.
