According to the Gentry Police Department, a Gentry intermediate PE instructor has been detained on suspicion of sexually assaulting a former pupil in connection with an alleged event that took place in 2010.
Leah Queen, 44, is being held without bond after being charged with the furnishing, having, or using illegal items, according to jail records. Additionally, according to her jail record, she is detained due to a Benton County warrant for second-degree sexual assault.
The event allegedly occurred in March 2010 after Queen made friends with the victim, who was 17 at the time, following a basketball game and the two started “socializing outside of school hours and talking over social media.”
In the summer of 2010, just before the minor’s senior year of high school, Queen and the claimed victim allegedly “engaged in deviant sexual activity” in Queen’s office or office bathroom.
Investigators claimed they made an effort to contact Queen so they could ask her about the claims, but she turned them down.

The nature of the case will be discussed in court. The determination of the consensuality of the young man based upon it is in court will have to be discussed. If the court determines the young man was consensual and was mature to make those decisions then there is no case other than the Arkansas determination of sodomy which is different from state to state.
Taking a stance is great. But different people in different states may not see it the way you do. And if a young man can be privileged to drive one of the most killing machines on earth, an automobile, but is not mature enough based upon an educated guess of age to participate in a sexual encounter, then there is a problem with the system. Not everyone is 98.6 but it’s accepted as the norm. Why?
If you live there, and disagree with the determination of the capacity of the young man to be mature enough to have participated, then you can get the laws changed. Meantime, it’s the law, like it or not. People bonding to a given area based upon agreement concerning their best interest is how many towns and states were created. No different. This is what Roe is transitioning to as we speak. The federal government should not and can not successfully tell people how to handle a medical call that is not determined for them by the Constitution. And now that that is understood, and the individual states are handling the determination of abortion which is where it should have been to begin with under states’ rights those that are in each state need to make up their minds and re-create laws to accomplish what they wish to see happen. There is no one size fits all. Same with a seventeen year old.
