Taiwanese Gogoro has an interchangeable battery so you can quickly get a new charge and not have to plug your vehicle into the electrical system.

Cars will need a similar setup, but with the packs robotically switched out. The problem will be in standardizing batteries just as gasoline formulas were generally standardized. As a Benz owner you wouldn't want to get a Dodge/Fiat quality pack loaded at the battery "pump".

A Gogoro scooter uses 2 batteries. Each battery is 1.3 kWh and weigh 9 kg each.

A car would need a much more power and a “re-charge” would need to be under 3 minutes.
