It's too bad I lost my face in a boating accident. (sarc)

They want to track internet usage by having websites scan your face as you surf from site to site.

Good article, and another frustrating step toward a dystopian future and an abusive present.

Obviously this will be used to determine who is using the browser, who is visiting a website, who is sending email, who is sending a message or viewing a video. Obviously the data will go into a central database where the “authorities” will be able to look around for anything they find interesting.

Just not initially. After the public gets used to it, and has given up trying to get it eliminated, the “authorities” will start doing using the database.

Always happens the same way. Newborns are required to have a “blood test” to screen for a disease. Mysteriously, we find that the police are poking around in the database to find suspects.

I’m sure the porn industry will actively lobby against this bill.

Yes, but it could also mean that they would like to make us avoid political and social sites.

They do not like what I post and they do not like what you read.

They would like for you to return to the NYT, Washington Post, LA Times, etc, where hey control what you read.

Of course going to the Amazon site is just fine.

They want to know who you are.
I wonder if anyone has pointed out that “Right to Privacy” is written into CA Constitution.
This would be a clear violation.
I’m sure the GOP-e will get right on this...
As soon as the check clears.

My laptop warns me when a website tries to take my photo. It’s more common than expected.
