So to me the the question becomes, how do the elites think they will survive when the western society crashes. If anarchy rules, it rules us all.
The elites live in wealthy enclaves and estates that are mostly inside walled/gated/fenced properties. They have the money, power and influence to have the local police protect them and/or hire their own security.
They can also relocate to another one of their many homes if they need to.
Their lives will be largely undisturbed. They have built a system that insulates and protects them. And that is the one they’re determined to keep as it works for them.
As usual, its the masses that will feel the pain.
