“Or part it out - get something out of it, rather than just scrapping.”
Not an option.
I got the $800 from carparts.com
Since this is NJ, he probably just needs to contact the Sopranos to have it disappear and show up with a new VIN number....
Sucks to be him then - enjoy NJ.
“One states that he cannot transfer the truck’s title in any way without returning it to stock. This includes giving it away.”
Seems to me like NJ can’t do crap if he just takes it across the border and sells it in another state.
NJ would have contacted the FBI to kill him.
Move to South Carolina. They have no yearly inspections.
“he decided to turn in his plates and keep it for off-road use”
Even Ca lets you do this without argument.
Nope... Unless you modify the fuel system to squirt more juice there is no difference in particulate output. From the factory they run extremely clean and a particulate filter is not even needed. It is all a scam.
Off road beaters called hunting cars ..... Now banned by NJ Guvern-mint retards. Konstipated killjoys trying to spoil all the fun there is in life. Spit!
What a rip off!
That is a modified fuel system or bad turbo there.
Colorado, for one. I just transferred titles and registered three of my out of state vehicles --no emissions inspections or smog tests.
Doesn’t sound like the NJ commies will let him. He parts it out and they come after him he has a real problem. He sells it out of state, well Meh.
“Nope... Unless you modify the fuel system to squirt more juice there is no difference in particulate output. “
Yep! Can you say tuner?
“He sells it out of state, well Meh.”
Not “meh” as referenced to NJ.
“That is a modified fuel system or bad turbo there.”
Which I am sure he has. We already know he is “tuned” and has straight pipes and does tractor pulls. I bet he has “upgraded” his fuel delivery with the tune.
Yep. He could trailer it to Florida and, even if he sold it for a fire-sale price, he'd still be making more than letting the State crush it.
Montana’s really good about that.
It’s how I got my ‘92 HMMWV titled. reseller/company bought used at auction, off govt planet orsomewhere, did enough to get them working, powerwashed/cleaned up a bit, got titles from MT which bypassed SF97 off-road restrictions that would’ve kept them from being titled in MD.
But as tempting as it is “aLl tHaT cAtaLytIC cOnVerTer Duz iz ROb tHe EngiNe pOwR! DeRp!”
It’s a “guy” thing”.
Some counties in TX don’t require emissions, although I don’t know if that also applies to diesels.
Yep. Dude was into tractor pulls. You can't have a good pull without a lot of smoke!
