“Rent a storage unit and park the truck for however long it takes to get State residency and register it in that State with another State’s tags. problem solved.”

He doesn’t have the time.

That would cost more than fixing the truck.

“Other than to get twice the power at half the fuel consumption, yea what is this guy thinking?”

I am not a diesel dude. Can you cite the systems?

Given mpg mandates I find it hard to believe.

At best a few hundred to rent a storage building, thousands to restore it back to factory.

“Ram diesel particulate filters cost $800 to $900.”

Designed for the lifetime of the truck. ... if used properly.

If it is out of the reach of New Jersey there is not much they can do about it.

Nashville and the surrounding counties stopped emission testing in the last year. EPA approved, the air quality in Nashville has improved.

Utah, Texas, Arkansas, probably a few others. I know in this state older than 15 years no emissions testing.

Don’t think it matters as the truck is the issue and as long as it is out of State not much they can do.

Or part it out - get something out of it, rather than just scrapping.

“Don’t think it matters as the truck is the issue and as long as it is out of State not much they can do.”

It does. He has an order to bring the truck in or be fined.

He is also in violation by advertising truck for sale.
