One important thing to do to get the best prices on Amazon: DON’T use Amazon Prime. We learned quite a while ago that Prime members often are shown higher prices than everyone else.

Thanks! I try not to use Amazon, but there are a few things I do order.

I’ll add that those FReepers who want to use Amazon, a controversial notion, use Amazon.com/smile. It costs you no more, same experience.

But you choose a charity for a tiny bit of your purchases to support. I picked my local pro life pregnancy center, which has benefited by thousands of dollars at this point - not just from me, but by all who designated them.

You could pick any number of conservative or Christian or what have you charities. Judicial Watch, True the Vote. . . others may have suggestions also.

BTW in all my years I can’t remember seeing a coupon for ANYTHING I’d actually choose to buy.

How do you think they’re paying for that ‘FREE’ shipping.

Why are you advertising for Amazon on here???

I can get this same clickbait crap anywhere else on the internet.

I’ve been in Amazon smile for some time.

Being rural, retired, 77 years old and mobility handicapped, I buy a LOT of stuff via Amazon, because shopping in brick-and-mortar stores is impossible for me. I’d use Walmart, too, but a few months ago they changed their web site such that it won’t load on my Windows XP O/S laptop anymore.

My Smile contributions go to Gun Owners of America. Take that, Bezos!

LOL...yep, me, too. I actually clipped a CVS or Target Coupon recently for Tide detergent, but there were restrictions on its use in the small print. It was on sale at the store. Turns out the sale price was better than the coupon price. They had to round up a “manager” to figure out the pricing. In the end, the coupon was worthless and I wasted 10 or 15 minutes.

I HATE coupons. Just give me your best price.

I have frequently had 'coupons' show up on items I've purchased from Amazon. It shows up near the price in the description, and says something like "the coupon will be applied automatically in the cart." So, not necessary to search through the Coupon area to see if a specific item has a coupon. But it sure is nice to know about this coupon area.

I just recently found Amazon Warehouse ... there are some good bargains there. Warehouse seems to be populated with customer returns, and odd size packages. I have not been disappointed with purchases from Amazon Warehouse.

You generally get free shipping on non-Prime order over $25, it is just slower.

I am near a major hub, so it usually isn't much slower.

Yes, was going to mention the same. Thanks for the Amazon Warehouse suggestion.

Thanks for mentioning the mortar. Otherwise people might think that the bricks are just stacked on top of each other with nothing binding them together.

Good reason(s) to use Amazon!

I use them mostly for supplements ... can’t find them locally. Occasionally, if I need something in a hurry, I’ll get my SIL to order it - she has Prime (I won’t pay for it ‘cause I don’t need it 99% of the time). It’s happened a couple of times this year - broke my kneecap & urgently needed some handicap equipment - she ordered & I got it the next day, thank goodness!
