Never a good idea to keep a wild animal as a pet. Even if you have it from the moment it’s born, it’ll never have the generations of domestication that true housepets have. You never know when those wild instincts will kick in, and most of us aren’t capable of fighting off or escaping an angry wild animal bigger than a chihuahua without taking some significant damage.

I once thought about having a dingo as a pet. I even found a breeder in North Carolina, but my daughter, who lives in Australia, told me it was a very bad idea. She knows a few people there with them, and their dingos, have to be kept with a muzzle at all times and are incredibly jumpy.

“You never know when those wild instincts will kick in”

This is why I never would own a Pit Bull.

Just yesterday my 5.5 lb Long Haired Male Chihuahua was sitting next to me on the couch. I leaned over to give him some loves and the little basT#rd bit me on the finger. It kind of hurt even though he didn’t break the skin. Mostly just surprised me.
My wife says to me that he has been in a bad mood. Leave him alone.

If that had been a Pit Bull, I might have ended up in the ER.
