This is no longer an experiment. The science is pretty well affirmed (but apparently not yet “settled”), that letting major felons out of prison leads to far greater recidivism than waiting until parole hearings first, after a period of good behavior, and still exhibiting an abundance of caution, until after several parole hearings substantiate the judgment of releasing on parole.

Illinois cannot be made into a sh!thole. It is already one.

But it would be a deeper sh!thole.
