When I was in Honolulu, I used to see this homeless guy who had thick dreads that were all matted together all the way past his rear end—like one giant dreadlock. He used to lay on the bus stop bench near Ala Moana shopping center and I always thought it was clever that he carried a soft bedroll and pillow with him all the time.
Can't be washed. They're probably full of bugs and germs.
I remember that guy. I lived in Waikiki from about ‘84 until 2007. He was one of the permanent homeless in the neighborhood.
