I call it EMA (Eastern Minorities Alliance). All these mega-alliances, such as NATO and the UN are too unwieldy with too many conflicting currents to actually do anything. Smaller, specialized alliances seem to be the way to go(, said Kaiser Wilhelm to Emperor Franz Josef).
Maybe they’ll do better then that example!
Fascism is really socialism with a very thin veneer of capitalism. When things are going well govt takes credit. When things go bad, govt blames businesses and privatizes some of the “offending” companies/industries.
Its really just socialism by regulatory control, so much control they effectively are in charge of private industry. But its kept as a veneer to keep it separate from the state so the state always has a Goldstein to blame when the economy tanks and keeps getting worse.
Just like here!
A description of Rat policy with the GOP Me Too-ers going ‘Amen!’ since FDR!
GASP!—ORGAN CHORD!—MORE GASPS!!!!—That sounds like (repeat gasps and organ chords) the Brandon administration. They really are fascists!
I sure hope so. You can’t start world wars stupidly with nukes lying around. A few years of trench warfare, death and destruction, followed by a pandemic were mild by comparison.
Yes, but it is much more than a economic philosophy. It is a social construct of fanatic nationalism in which anyone who opposes the ideology of the state are eliminated in order to create a “pure” society. Historically, the Italians and Germans used genealogy / nationality as an entry point for their society, but of course that was one small part of their larger inclusion plan.
When I am asked if fascism is a more right or left leaning philosophy, I believe that is it more left wing. Although right wing political ideology (American conservative) includes a patriotic nationalism, it is a nationalism born out of conservation of the Constitution and its ideals of personal freedom, property rights and limited government. The latter precludes fascism in its very core. A conservative will fight to preserve and defend the Constitution, but that allows a very wide social umbrella to live quite freely and independently of the state.
The modern American Liberal may not preach a patriotic nationalism, they are more than happy to use the government to force compliance to their collective truth and eliminate those opposed. That is far truer to the heart of fascism than any conservative mindset. The modern American Liberal is far more accepting of totalitarianism, so long as it is their agendas that is being propagated, and they will fight hard to do so.
I wasn’t trying to explain the full entirety of it.
I stated the economic angle because thats a lot of what people start comparing it to socialism.
You bring up good point about other angles of it, its leftist, and for me, totalitarian as all forms of socialism are as well.
Its a form of socialism, as a generalized overarching statement. Generally socialism of all form has extremely strong identity divides, the us vs them, because they are always fighting against Goldsteinsto shift the populations anger towards, and justify the military/police states they really use for their comfort and controlling political enemies.
The ‘nationalism’ of Brandon and his liberal/prog/one world/Dems will be of a ‘social rules’ type and it will be defined as they say it is. Oppose any of what they want and you will be deemed an enemy of ‘America’...of the State as they define it.
