From the other thread, it looks like the reality was the direct opposite from the allegation, teacher was mocking the idea of calling pedophiles “minor attracted persons”.

A student who was in the class told KFOX14 the video was taken out of context.
“She [teacher] was expressing how it was ridiculous how we [society] might not be able to call people pedophiles. That we [society] will probably have to start calling them MAPs because it can be offensive to them [pedophiles]. The class agreed,” Ryann Ruvalcaba, a junior at Franklin High School said.

If so, that is 180 degrees away from the message communicated in the posted article.
And it would make sense why she was fired: She actually is mocking the pedophile claims that they aren't pedophiles.
And, of course, unfortunate that she got fired. They keep the insane perverts on staff, and get rid of the sane people.
I read that thread too. If that turns out to be the truth of it now maybe she can sue the Daily Mail too which has very deep pockets.
How about we just not discuss such issues and instead focus on reading, writing, and arithmetic as the children in the U.S. are falling behind in those subjects.
Imagine being a teacher today and having to navigate all these minefields. If she was using the “MAP” comment as an instructional example while studying “The Crucible,” then she was wrongly fired. Nevertheless, it was bad judgement to use that example in these times.
