I’ve been saying essentially that for like 25 years. I once got a letter to the editor printed in the AJC explaining why what they were calling accidental was really a negligent discharge. The story involved cop A negligently discharging a shotgun in an evidence closet and injuring cop B, fortunately not too badly. Gwinnett County PD IIRC, but I might not, it has been a while.
Makes sense.
