2 weeks ago I installed an 11k for $912.00 delivered. No delay on availability. I have already tied it to the house. I am scheduled to have it tapped into my 500g propane tank, likely this coming week. Tank to be topped off this week as well for roughly the same price as my gen. $10-12,000? 4-6 month wait? For that kind of money, it must be a huge unit? You live in Cali? I live in the land of the FRee, Alabama.

Yes, no doubt. In the meantime I am pushing to send as little of my money out through my electric meter as possible. I was more taking a dig at $10-12000 for a generator along with the wait time expressed. None of US get out of this alive.

I must say you are an exception. The average price for full house natural gas
generator installed is about $11,000 and a 4-6 month wait we had one installed in Mi last March. We got 3 quotes and l asked around and yep that is the going rate.
You installed your own and it’s only 11k and it’s propane maybe that’s how you got it done so cheap but you would not be typical.
Not just big Tech, they are in government and Healthcare using their caste system against us.
What size gen does $11000 get you? My 11k runs everything in my household. I don’t have access to NatGas so propane is my only backup option to gasoline.
After installation which means all permits, foundation, 3 years of maintenance and the Generac nat gas 14,000 watt generator with a 10 year warranty came in at $10,000. We got it 5 months after we ordered it. I hear the price and the wait have both gone up. We may have gotten way with an 11,000 but it was borderline.
