I work in the mental health field involving involuntary commitments. Sadly, it’s not uncommon for young women to endorse delusions about marriage and motherhood. Feminists may eschew such conventions but the truth is it’s something a lot of women are desperate to possess.
The middle child of some close friends just got pregnant and she has zero intention of marrying the guy. It sounds like she really doesn’t like him very much and wants him gone. She is desperate to be a mom and just couldn’t find a guy to fall in love with. I don’t think she is a feminist, just a single woman desperate to be a mom. It is weird.
