I was never vaxxed.
My lung scan from January of 2020 shows my lungs were clear. The flu was going around my job and my doctor ordered one as a precaution.
After a nasty round of COVID in March, 2020, my lung scans from April showed extensive scarring. Diagnosed Stage I COPD.
By August 2020, I was on two inhalers and steroids. Lung functionality test revealed I was getting worse, not better. Moved me to Stage 3 (emphysema).
My kidneys were shutting down. My adrenals had been depleted.
I went from a healthy working wife and mother who had spent two weeks the summer before walking all over Italy, easily climbing to the tops of the leaning tower of Pisa and Duomo in Florence, to a frail creature that got winded walking 3 blocks. I’m 5’8 and weigh 138 lbs. No co-morbidities.
My lungs slowly recovered back to Stage 1. My kidneys bounced back. They juiced my adrenals with two months of daily estrogen, testosterone, and progesterone; that helped significantly and I was able to keep working.
Now I’m dealing with the latest attack, this time on my digestive system. It shut down for almost 3 weeks. Couldn’t keep food down, couldn’t pass it through, lost 12 lbs. due to vomiting. Have food allergies I never had before.
I’m looking at 10 years left to live. I will never make it to retirement. There was a time when the prognosis was only 4 years and wasn’t expected to survive long enough to see my youngest son graduate high school, so that’s a blessing. I always carried large insurance policies and my will and powers of attorney are done, so my family is provided for once I am gone.
So in short, you are ignorant. I could type what I really feel, but that will probably get me banned.
My wife says don’t give up hope. We can’t know the future.

So sorry to hear of your experiences post-covid.
Long covid is a very real thing.
I will put you on my prayer list. Surely, God has a miracle or two left
for someone who has led a good life.
