15-20 seconds is going to drive many pitchers nuts, and batters having to be “set in the box” by 8 seconds? Are they supposed to be staring at a clock? Dunno about this.

Too bad for them. It'll improve the fan experience because they will put the ball into play more often. We don't want to watch a four hour chess match between the batter and the pitcher.
