A n equally good question is what is wrong with the schools. A parent of a bullied kid should a registered letter describing the situation to the principal. Then if the bullying continued, sue everyone involved.

“A parent of a bullied kid should a registered letter describing the situation to the principal. “

Not good enough. They should send it to all of his teachers, to the principal, to everyone on the school board, and and to the general counsel. Each letter should say “share this with your general counsel”. It should be sent registered mail, certified mail, and regular mail with a certificate of mailing. Send a hundred, two hundred.

Put right in the letter the part of the law that you will use against them to put each of them in their own personal hell foreover if they don’t fix it. Otherwise they’re going to say “we didn’t know. No one told us.” School administrations are experts at excuses. You have to remove them all, all at once.
