Just saw video footage of the arrest scene, stolen vehicle (apparently) in ditch, at least ten police cruisers and an overhead helicopter visible, arrest scene is four-lane highway with a wide grass median, traffic still passing on the other side of the highway, evidently stopped on the incident side. Looking at road map, would say that the suspect travelled west from scene of carjacking (or however he acquired vehicle) for about 20-30 miles, turned onto busier highway (SK 11) and was forced off the road there. The arrest was in the vicinity of Duck Lake north of Rostherne, all to the north of Saskatoon on the highway to Prince Albert, SK. These locations are all about 40-50 miles west of the crime scenes at James Smith First Nation and Weldon, SK.
It will be interesting to learn more details about whether or not the earlier Regina sightings are authentic, in which case the suspect or possibly both brothers had made an earlier trip of several hundred miles south to Regina then back to the vicinity of the crimes. On the face of it, that makes little sense although so far the crime spree itself makes no sense either.
Media reports indicate that many of the various victims deceased or injured (apart from one elderly white male in Weldon SK) were natives either related to the suspect(s) or known to them.
TBH, I cant help but wonder if the victims were involved in the perp’s history of child abuse.
I would move to Canada because the ponds and lakes freeze in the Winter.
I will not move because their leadership is bonkers and the crazy factor is too high for me.
The population is less than California, a plus.
Trying to imitate the screwed up state? A huge minus.
“Oh Canada?”
