As there had been a thread discussing the mass casualty knife attacks in Saskatchewan last Sunday, the latest news is that Myles Sanderson, the remaining suspect at large, has been taken into custody in a rural area north of Saskatoon and south of the crime scenes. His brother Damien, at one point identified as another suspect, had been found deceased yesterday.
Police reports indicate that a vehicle (evidently not the one previously being sought) had been stolen in the small town of Wakaw, SK, and shortly after that, the driver was arrested and identified as the suspect, Myles Sanderson.
I would move to Canada because the ponds and lakes freeze in the Winter.
I will not move because their leadership is bonkers and the crazy factor is too high for me.
The population is less than California, a plus.
Trying to imitate the screwed up state? A huge minus.

I truly hope that the Sanderson brothers have not any relation to Derek Sanderson, former Boston Bruin Hockey star.

Ah yes, the Turk ... best penalty killer who ever lived, I seem to remember that he and Bobby Orr scored two goals during a five-minute penalty they had to kill off once upon a time. I think Derek was from Niagara Falls, ON a long way from the western reserve, not sure if he had some native blood or not, was known to be a heavy drinker though.
Of course having to play with legends like Orr and Phil Esposito under Don Cherry would perhaps drive any normal person to drink. The Turk was exceptional at that one thing though.
As to the crazy factor, we’re just trying to keep up with the rest of the world. It’s probably about the same here as in most parts of America, especially those parts that are mostly white. Such black citizens as we possess are not much of a burden although in Toronto they might disagree. There is probably generally speaking a lot less violent crime here, this current case is not really that common an occurrence, but one reason why fewer Canadians own firearms is simply that the crime rate is lower outside of a few urban areas. There might be a lot of petty theft related to drug use, but not very much aggressive violent crime.
Just my observation without having lived in the US, just based on what I read here and other places I trust.
The Justin Trudeau factor is overstated by some, yes there are particular abuses, but it’s not like living in some gulag where everyone is subject to terror. The list of those being harassed by this government is relatively small, in part because they don’t know who 99% of their opponents are, and they plan to keep them guessing. (I already got on the list years ago, can’t say exactly where and when)
All you have to do to learn how savage these people have been is to read the Lives of the North American martyrs, especially Father Isaac Jogues.
This murderous dude is the descendant of some very bad dudes.

It’s a good thing that all those abused in childhood don’t go around slaughtering their family members, and innocent bystanders.
It’s a very good thing because abuse and trafficking has skyrocketed in the last 40 years.
This guy has been very angry and acting out since elementary school. Rampant abuse and exploration is the dirty laundry of the indigenous community.
We do, but it’s the classic bad boy fool a social worker screw a half dozen women turn nasty when in-laws protest syndrome. I suppose it’s not that uncommon in both our countries. The guy had six kids.
To the above I could add that a recent news release indicates that seven of the ten initial victims (before his brother) were in-laws on the reserve with the surname Burns, only one was a relative (Sanderson) and another was a random pensioner in a nearby village who he must have robbed for credit cards or cash perhaps. He should never have been let out of jail last year from all available indications, somebody screwed up, probably a gullible person taken in by his temporary charm. Bad boys ... whatya gonna do when they come for you?
