Last week, President Joe Biden announced that the federal government would forgive between $10,000 and $20,000 of student loan debt for qualifying borrowers who make less than $125,000 per year. But that wasn't all: Biden also said that he would create a new income-driven repayment (IDR) system for college borrowers.
I have 70k in parent plus loans. 10k will be forgiven. I estimate I will only need to pay 8k on the balance. The payment plan change is huge.

The government has no business being in the loan business. When I was that age kids either had their parents pay or they worked their way through college (or both parents and work). A college degree was meaningful.
The only people who took frivolous courses were rich kids or women looking for a husband with a big future.
Should make the schools pay for it or close them down.
Loans should come from the school.
Pay-go for college ... nothing else.
I could imagine abuse.
Student takes out $250,000 for college and law school.

His wife starts a law firm and pays him marginally.
Firm’s revenue goes into a account in her name.
The Brandons want to destroy the middle class, and this is one way to do it, making college education unaffordable to most.
Yeah thanks. You should at least buy me dinner before f**ing me.
Where are the lawsuits to stop this? The democrats rarely face any resistance anymore. It is sickening.
“If a student takes out $100,000 in Federal loans and they obtain employment earning $50,000 they will only pay back $25,000 over ten years.”
Only balances less than $12,500 are forgiven.
We all know Biden is senile demented fool
