A temperature of over 100°? Oh noes! What a soyboy.
After more than two years, I finally got COVID last week. Mine was much less severe than several bouts of flu I’ve had in the past. It came on with a headache and body aches. I had an intermittent fever of between 99° and 102° for about 3 days and a very sore throat for about 2 days overlapping with the fever. Not much coughing. Then it went away. It wasn’t as bad as I expected. Considered Paxlovid when it first started, but I remembered the recent study that suggested Paxlovid may not be of much (if any) value for people under 65, so I decided to skip that.
You described my symptoms pretty much exactly. I tested positive on the 27th of August with one of those home tests the government sent us.
I had a few days in there where I slept like 16 hours and I'm still a little stuffy, but otherwise just fine. The worst part really was the sore throat. Advil brought the fever down and I had a little upper congestion, but that's it.
