Where was this guy during the 20 year war in Afghanistan if he knows so much about warfare?
And such a person would still have a security clearance and access to briefings and reports based on the latest US and NATO intelligence. From what I gather, Russian communications and information security are weak these days, with troops and even higher ranks babbling on their cell phones to home about how badly things are going.
