I worked in Rock Springs, Wyoming for a few months in the mid 70s when it was a Boomtown. Lots of guys and hardly any gals. But I managed to find a girlfriend there anyway.
(Welcome To The Boomtown)
Rats.....😜
I remember it.
Never thought of it as a Miami Vice track, but yeah that would’ve been good.
Pick a habit, we got plenty to go around.

Above is the YouTube link to the official video of the song.
Thanks for posting this mostly forgotten 80s track. It barely scratched the Top 40 back in 1986 but got a lot of play on the "modern rock" stations at the time. A few years later, when bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins came on the scene, the "modern rock" genre would transform into a genre known as "alternative rock".
The video is mostly grainy but a nice time capsule of nightlife in the mid 1980s. This was before cellphones (you can see people using pay phones on the street) and internet. In those days, you just went out at night to have a good time without all the distractions of today. You could go and do whatever you wanted and nobody ever had to know where you were or what you did. That is a freedom unimaginable to young people today who are tethered to devices 24/7.
I was just 23 years old when that song was popular.

Great album. Totally unknown.
I got it and Toy Matinee around the same time.
