Good points about TV fighters. Unrealistic.
Only thing that might be supportive is I met a master of Shorin Ryu martial arts at my dojo on his tour of the US in the 1970s. He was really small but in competitions and demonstrations in his life he defeated the biggest bad guys.
But I believe most times it’s like the Woody Allen line:
“To me, in martial arts the bigger your opponent the bigger the beating he’s about to give you.”
Yeah. Small men can be deadly. But small women? I doubt it. Even small men have bone density and upper body strength that women just cannot match. My step-dad is 5'5". He's 73. He's a former Marine who works out and jogs every day. I absolutely would not advise even Serena Williams to mess with him.
Women have weapons, but they aren't in the brute strength category.
