Absolute worst place I’ve ever shopped. Wife sent me there on a weekend with a list recently, and I couldn’t find half the stuff or they were out, couldn’t find an acceptable English speaker to help me find stuff, zillions of other customers there, many of whom were rude and selfishly blocked aisles and intersections, and Costco accepts only Mastercard (not AmEx, not Visa, not Discovery). Guy at door checking merch asked how was my experience, and I said horrible, worst place I’ve ever been, ain’t never coming back. And he blamed me for the situation, asked well what did I expect and said I shouldn’t have come on the worst day of the week for them.
Sam’s Club is cleaner, more open, more attentive and more responsive to customers, and usually has what I want and I can find it or where it’s supposed to be without having to play MIME to a clueless non-English speaking worker when trying to get help.
Shoot, even Walmart is better, unless you need a huge box of 50 jumbo bags of multiple flavors of plant-based pork rinds at a “bulk bargain price.” Then go knock yourself out at ChumpCo.
Interesting. I left Sam’s Club for a few years because the announcements they made over the intercom in the location I shopped…were in Spanish. I complained to management and I don’t know what was done…if anything. I didn’t look back until the “pandemic” hit. I rejoined and haven’t been disappointed. When I signed up for new membership, they gave me a rotisserie chicken, a dozen cupcakes, and a $10 credit. I said gosh!! ☕️
As with so many stores it depends on the one you go to
Have had all kinds of experiences at Walmart, target, and Costco
Those are the exact reasons I went to a Walmart near me in west Houston once several years ago for a baby shower gift and never, ever went back.
It was a freakin’ zoo. And that was at around 8:00 a.m. on a rainy Saturday morning.
