That’s the problem with additive manufacturing...right now it’s slow. We make some parts at work using 3D printing, that’s what the engineer next door to my office does.

But it can’t keep up with the machinists’ Swiss lathe. And the old style machinery is not a static target. They get faster and faster with each generation.

3D is great for low volumes like this car. But you won’t see a 3D printed Corolla any time soon.

Cool car though.
