Then again I think after Zelensky rejected the peace talks with Putin, NATO basically told him the only way Ukraine joins NATO is through negotiation with the Russians. Basically I think the deal will be allow the annexations in exchange for acceptance into NATO, and allowing Ukraine to keep the rest of the Black Sea coast. It’s probably the best deal they can get now.
