📌 The UK believes Russia was involved in the explosions on the Nord Stream and Nord Stream-2 gas pipelines. One of the most likely scenarios is that Russia secretly delivered an autonomous underwater vehicle with cargo to certain sites on the pipelines. According to the source, such drones could have been dropped from a small vessel like a fishing boat several months ago.
At the same time, the German Bild notes that the Russian Main Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces could be involved in this sabotage. In particular, it has the 561st Naval Brigade, which is considered a purely submarine subversive unit. Soldiers of this brigade are trained to arrange sabotage operations at considerable depths, including the use of underwater drones.
