According to AARP, the Tesla Model 3 only depreciates 5.5% after the first year of driving, dropping from a value of $48,650 to $46,121.

Why is the Tesla resale value so high compared to other EVs? It’s partly because Tesla batteries don’t degrade quickly, so you can drive them for years without a significant drop in battery capacity.

Yeah, just you wait. There are stories about Teslas and owners getting screwed on batteries all over the web.

It’s just not viral (yet).
