Agreed. The phrases, “went down” and “going down,” weren’t in much use in the past. It was like “groovy” in that sense. But sometime since 2000, the less technically inclined common consumer Internet subscribers picked it up from the song and from movies and made it more common. It’s an anti-defense thing...a lefty rebellion fantasy thing.
