I agree. It's clear that his back was to the door with the third shot, and he was arguably turning at the second ... and I disagree the shots were "rapid" as there was about a second in between them.

Don't get me wrong here .... I'm not saying the father was wrong to protect his daughter from a guy breaking into the home, but those last two shots could be a problem ...
