The airlines have lists that pilots place other pilots not to be paired with, to minimize such incidents happening.
Oh well.
LOL !!!
The flight was from Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo to Paris.
I re-read the story. The flight from Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo to Paris was in 2020. The Geneva-Paris flight with the fisticuffs in the cockpit was in 2021.
It’s a new polar route.
“I re-read the story. The flight from Brazzaville in the Republic of Congo to Paris was in 2020. The Geneva-Paris flight with the fisticuffs in the cockpit was in 2021”
That’s some of the worst ‘journalism’ ever
In the old days, it might have been two male pilots fighting over an attractive stewardess.
In 2022 it might be a hulking male steward breaking up a marital fight between two, uh, not so attractive female pilots...
I can’t post the GIF, but this reminds me of John Wayne and Robert Stack and The High and the Mighty, old school CRM
Never did either, and always flew Swissair on international flights whenever I had a choice. The Air France domestic flights with the poodles in paper “doggie bags” with just their heads sticking out were funny, though. Large size for the standard poodles on down to mini size for the toy poodles. I wonder if they still use those.
I fart in your general direction! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of eledrberries!.
lol — and I hadn’t noticed the pilots’ complementary haircuts until now...
I am retired from Delta and from experience the different attitudes come from the way your life works out just like everyone else’s.
Rotating schedules, times away from home, suspicions and jealousy of flight attendants all make for failed marriages and a nomadic way of life.
Not making excuses, just relating some reasons for these attitudes.
My marriage and my one true love lasted all of four years.
Wife up and left and took my two year old little girl with her.
I was 24 years old at the time!😟
Lovers quarrel?
That’s the one. Thanks.
I sure hope they engaged the autopilot if this happened in the climb after takeoff. They need CRM training.
>> Need to put a flatulence indicator ...
As a retired Boeing 767 pilot I can assure you that no one EVER farted in a two man cockpit since the perpetrator would be instantly identified.
Three man cockpits - or two pilots and a jump seater - the same. Hold your nose.
>> Pilots are the some of the unhappiest people I’ve met, they b!tch about everything.
What? Who the hell have you been talking to? The few bitchers I met in my 30+ year career stand out like sore thumbs. At 77 - and almost 18 years retired - I still remember them vividly. To wit:
1/ The Divine Wind (jerk DC-8 captain -1977)
2/ Neil H. (winer 737 copilot - 1990s)
3/ Marvin (Also 1990s. well, that’s what we called her - see Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy)
Can you guess that they all had “special” employment status?
(Retired 767 captain here.)
