CAPITALISM IN A DOG-EAT-DOG WORLD

Posted on 08/28/2022 6:59:40 AM PDT by DIRTYSECRET

This is what it has come to my friends. People are thriving while homeless encampments get bigger and more visible every day. Is 40 hours a week of work too much to demand when there's plenty out there at $12-15 an hour? I wouldn't want any of those jobs but if it were necessary I wouldn't complain. Just look at all those from Mexico who are willing to accept it.

The problem is national and it's getting bigger. It's like a powder keg ready to go off. The left thrives on chaos and this nation is delivering. Trump has the right idea with tents on the outskirts of town. It would be like a pressure release valve, keeping the lid on while more permanent solutions are found. It's doable but the left just won't accept it or any conservative solution. They need to be squished like a bug to get started. A charismatic Castro/Hugo Chavez is out there somewhere.

The only solution is to end all immigration for at least 30 years. The parasitic establishment has rendered America citizenship meaningless and an outright burden.

There will always be people left behind in a competitive world. Eating the rich won’t solve it and the middle class will always suffer under the left. They’ll lie about it. There is something to be said for taking a step back and taking a look at what part of redistribution would keep people motivated to work and still benefit. Requiring 40 hours of work before coming to the rest of us. Those unable will be a small minority that can be taken care of on the most local level.

It is no secret that the Left has been trying to destroy the middle class for going on a century. They figured out early on there was going to be no Marxist revolution in the United States because the middle class was too comfortable and too large.

Even though they have switched from economic Marxism to cultural Marxism, they haven’t given up on destroying the middle class and fomenting a revolution from that perspective.

They are evil incarnate, and those who inhabit the tent cities are their Marxist cannon fodder and useful idiots.

When the elites send our manufacturing overseas our prices go down. Can we pay more for stability purposes? The minimum wage costs jobs but will anyone work without one? Is it really that detrimental? Our issue is government getting in the way and the big stuff should be eliminated, like entire cabinet departments. More money circulating. If the minimum wage is to be eliminated it should be the last thing.

"...There is something to be said for taking a step back and taking a look at what part of redistribution would keep people motivated to work and still benefit..."

I cannot be more in disagreement with that statement, if it means legitimizing some element of redistribution of wealth.

If you do mean that, then I do disagree.

Forced redistribution of wealth, in any way, shape, or form, is corrupt and evil, root and branch.

The reason being is: No matter how it is defined, redistribution of wealth is never, ever enough. Ever. The only thing that would make adherents of redistribution of wealth satisfied is FULL redistribution of wealth, that is making those who are rich poor, and making those who are poor, rich.

And then, because there will never be enough rich to trade places with all the poor, the cycle will start again between those who remain poor and those made rich through forced redistribution of wealth.

Apart from wealth acquired via hard work and initiative, there is no form of wealth that can satisfy the dissatisfied, and no amount of wealth that will eliminate the reality of economic outcomes.

The Right needs stop using the Marxist term “Capitalism”.

Our economy is based on the Free Market - it is (or should be) a Free Market Economy - “The Wealth of Nations” as Adam Smith put it - the voluntary cooperation between buyers and sellers without government interference, which America experienced greatly in the 1800’s.

What stands between us and the wealth-creating Free Market Economy today is the $3 TRILLION 80%+ unconstitutional portion of the federal government.

***The left thrives on chaos and this nation is delivering. ***

Reminds me of this from the BOOK Doctor Zhivago...

Yurii’s talk with Pogorevshikh on the train to Moscow...
Part 2, chapter 5: 16
Imperturbable as an oracle, he prophesied disastrous
upheavals in the near future. Yurii Andreievich inwardly agreed
that this was not unlikely, but the calm, authoritative tone in
which this unpleasant boy was making his forecasts angered
him.

“Just a moment,” he said hesitantly. “True, all this may happen.
But it seems to me that with all that’s going on — the chaos, the
disintegration, the pressure from the enemy — this is not the
moment to start dangerous experiments. The country must be
allowed to recover from one upheaval before plunging into
another. We must wait till at least relative peace and order are
restored.”

“That’s naive,” said Pogorevshikh. “What you call disorder is
just as normal a state of things as the order you’re so keen
about. All this destruction — it’s a natural and preliminary stage
of a broad creative plan. Society has not yet disintegrated
sufficiently. It must fall to pieces completely then a genuinely
revolutionary government will put the pieces together and build
on completely new foundations.”

Paychecks should be paper. Keep the stubs to prove hours worked. The windfall from eliminating entire departments can be shared for a couple years amongst the full-time workers.

Then there’s the tax system. National Consumption(20%) eliminating the income tax. The poor will pay but can have more purchase control, something the left won’t stand for. If government expenses represent 10% of all taxes collected the remaining 10% can be divided up amongst the lowest earners creating a minimum income that changes from year to year-skin in the game. There will still be income distribution but more freedom.

I agree with you 100%. We have redistribution now and homeless encampments-too many of them. The not-so-slippery slope then ends up like Marie Antionette. Even businesses rearrange their resources from time to time to changing realities. They still fail. While we adjust to circumstances the left plans long-term.

If government could be cut back 50% redistribution would go way down. The safety net bureaucrats talk about would have to be redefined. It would get rid of a lot of illegals, not just the imprisoned ones. Eliminate welfare-not just corporate.

It’s up to the productive people in each locality to handle this by working with their local govts or leaving the area if the govts won’t cooperate. Many people have moved to better locations multiple time due to needing a better school for the kid, deteriorating general conditions, etc.

When local govts have nothing but drug addicts and goof-offs left, they won’t receive much in the way of tax revenue. Let them become empty, like Detroit.

Unfortunately, most people will just sit and gripe, so they get to live with it.

Homeless encampments are a monument to the implementation of demonkkrap beliefs, policies and laws.

Unfortunately at the moment the GOP as it is controlled by its “leaders” at federal level has no interest in governing because it is incapable of governing, nor representing the people (not the special interests) who (s)elect them. Things shall become worse. As a Vietnam vet told me in the mid 1970s (who worked as a cook in the kitchen of a beat up dusty truck stop), no problem is ever solved in the US until there is a major crisis, and then the solution will most likely be worse than the problem.

Our feral givernment is too big succeed. And the feral givernment was “worried about” (ROFLMAO) in 2008 that our nation was threatened by banks were too big to fail.

Or the cause and response to 9-11 ... failure of US enforcement of immigration laws on the books resulted in thousands dead, delayed deaths through exposure at the sites of the catastrophy, many more injured, grieving families, loss of billions in wealth and property, FISA, virtual strip searches at airports, monitored communications and wide-open borders.

We could write all day about feral givernment “solutions” ...
