25 years after the killing.....so this POS has lived half his life after a cold-blooded murder, and is now being executed. Same old, same old...and after probably a million or two of tax-payer money for his legal fees, food, shelter, medical, etc. Pathetic. It would’ve been better to execute him shortly thereafter and saved the taxpayer a fortune, or partially compensate the decedent’s family for the crime. Or something. As the family of the murder victim said, this clown chose his path, rolled the dice and lost. More than once, and now for the final time.

Two points: Those taxpayers footing the bill to keep that murderer cozy and healthy included the family members of the victim. Think about that! And secondly, in any truly civilized country where the physical safety of law-abiding citizens is at or very near the top of the list of the government’s responsibility, that murderer would have been tried, convicted, sentenced to death and executed within weeks of his apprehension. But not here, only in a truly civilized country.
