Exactly! Where I live, "normally" only 35 to 40% of registered voters vote. THe State has done many things to make it easier to vote- and yet so many are apathetic."It won't make a difference" they say.
Our problems have been "given" to us by a majority - 21% - who are energized and vote.
By number, it should not be hard to get a majority if more like minded people as myself voted.
I hear people complaining all the time about things they can’t change - this is the one thing we DO have control over. I got robocalls and junkmail ads for candidates every day for a month before the primary but not one card, letter, phone call, text, or email asking if I was going to vote, and if I needed help with transportation etc. I’ll bet the results would be surprising if someone just contacted every registered Republican and urged them to vote.
Democrats get their people to vote by voting for them.
If they won’t go out to the polls themselves, the DNC will be happy to cast their “mail in” ballot for them.
